Keeping Well with Everyday Essentials
Basic food, personal care and household cleaning supplies are necessities that many with HIV are unable to afford. Being particularly susceptible to common infections that can cause serious health issues, it is critical for our clients to maintain clean home conditions, good hygiene and proper nutrition to live a healthy life.
Our Alfred T. May Pantry provides these essential items to our clients and their families in Pinellas County. Our Fred B. Sieber Pantry serves our clients in Hillsborough County. Services are made possible by generous donations from our community and other funding.
Our volunteers assist enrolled clients with accessing ten personal care and ten food items of their choice per month. When available, fresh food items are offered in addition to the standard food items.
Examples of Items:
- Non-perishable food (pasta, rice, cereal, granola bars, juice, peanut butter, jelly, canned vegetables, fruit, ravioli, meat, etc.)
- Personal hygiene products (soap, toothpaste, shaving cream, sunblock, laundry detergent, shampoo, feminine pads, etc.)
- Grocery gift cards
- Cash gifts
- Fresh food (bread, pastries, produce, etc., as available)
